Ravioli is a kind of pasta filled with cheese or meat simmered in broth or smothered with sauce. My love for food is my way of trying different dish. Italian is one of my favorite cuisines next to Japanese and Vietnamese. Had late lunch at Bistro Ravioli the other day, I have been craving ravioli for quite a while. Ravioli started as a kiosk in Ortigas to cater for hungry mall goers, became an instant hit for the fresh pasta they’re serving and eventually opened up a branch and called Bistro Ravioli.

My third festival for this year. Really had no plans of travelling for another 3 to 4 hours and walking under the extreme heat during noontime. But when I opened the television and saw two TV station featuring the Pahiyas 2012, it made me change my mind. I love to see the colorful kipings that is used to decorate the house in Lucban. Some says that this is the most colorful festival in the Philippines. We got there after 3 hours ride from Manila. We passed by Tayabas, way shorter than the Lucena route to Lucban.

It is a simple word with a huge meaning. Respect means giving attention or consideration to someone. We were taught by our parents to respect the elders, our friends, our schoolmates, our teachers, our grandparents, our relatives and the people we meet. In school we were also taught by our teachers to be an example to the younger generation. But when our parents let us fly on our wings, we socialize, encounter, met a lot of people from different walks of life. Then one of the values that was enrooted on us was put to test. For me it is as simple as, “If you want to be respected by others, you should know how to respect in return, don’t ask for it unless you know how to give one.”. But in the first place you should know how to respect yourself so you will be able to respect others.

My first time in Ilocos was a year ago. I was invited to see Vigan for the first time and agreed to go on a road trip for 7 long hours. Arrived, slept and leave for Manila the next day at noon time. Never did I stepped on the cobblestone of Calle Crisologo nor took at least one photo. The travel time is longer than I spent in Vigan. After a couple of months, my friend decided to spend her special day surfing in San Juan, La Union, being two hours away from Vigan the next morning we headed to Ilocos Sur to celebrate and have Pinakbet Pizza in Café Leona. Exactly 181 days, now I am on the road again to one of the farthest tourist destination , Ilocos Norte. 12 grueling hours to Pagudpud. Ilocos Norte is the best destination for road trippers, it will test your skills, endurance and patience but in the end will all be worth it.

Filipinos loves eating regardless where or what time of the day. Breakfast said to be the most important meal of the day, and one food that is staple to our breakfast table is Longganisa. Now, we don’t need to wait for breakfast to have Longganisa. Philippines having 7, 107 islands has as many types of Longganisa. Every province has their version. Whenever we crave for that piece of meat we need not travel so far and can easily hop to Longganisa Sorpresa anytime. It’s a dining place that serves all types of Longganisa from different parts of the country.

Having three branches proved that they really are catering to the increasing number of loyal travelers, locals and foodies. Indulging with the freshest seafood with a reasonable price partnered with excellent service.
I feel so blessed to have a Super “Mother Goose”! Up until this day she would wake up early just to prepare our baon for work (from breakfast, lunch, dessert minsan may merienda pa), heat water for bath (pag tag ulan), text us when it’s raining, wait for us when the water level in Malabon starts to rise just to hand us our bota and take care of our makukulit na dogs. She taught us good values, let us fall and stand, understand our decision and choice. Her dedication, support and unconditional love made us (the three ducklings) who we are today. On this day dedicated to all the Moms in the world. And to our one and only Goosely…a very special Mother’s Day to you Mommy!!! I love you!!! Kami naman ang magluluto ng food para di ka muna magluto for one day.

The sister cafe of Saramsam in Laoag, Herencia in Paoay is the home of the famous Pinakbet Pizza. Located in front of the picturesque St. Augustine Church or popularly known as Paoay Church that serves Ilocano Fusion Cuisine. What a better way to savor the Ilocano cuisine with one of Unesco’s World Heritage site as a view. The first time I tried Rub was last year, posted few pictures in my FB account and became an instant must try with some of my friends. For the second time I revisited their Morato branch. I have seen their Kapitolyo branch but the one in Quezon City is more accessible to me. I’m happy that their menu card is more appealing, from laminated paper to now a laminated sticker mounted on a xintra board. The interior is painted with red, black and white. Photos hanged on the wall like the Beatles crossing the Abbey Street.

It’s the new addiction of the peeps in the Metro. Tea has more health benefits and less caffeine than coffee but that doesn’t mean that coffee does not have its own health benefits.
