Filipinos loves eating regardless where or what time of the day. Breakfast said to be the most important meal of the day, and one food that is staple to our breakfast table is Longganisa. Now, we don’t need to wait for breakfast to have Longganisa. Philippines having 7, 107 islands has as many types of Longganisa. Every province has their version. Whenever we crave for that piece of meat we need not travel so far and can easily hop to Longganisa Sorpresa anytime. It’s a dining place that serves all types of Longganisa from different parts of the country.
The varieties range from the northern part of the country all the way down to Gen Santos’ version. They have the Recado (Maalat, Mabawang, Maasin, Mapaminta) from Alaminos, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Calumpit, Laoag, Lucban, Tuguegarao and Vigan. And the Hamonado (Matamis) from General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Batutay, Cebu, Davao and Pampanga

The Longganisa Platter with 5 kinds of Longganisa (Laoag, Vigan, Lucban, Cabanatuan and Cagayan de Oro) comes with garlic rice and tomato and onion. We like the Cagayan de Oro because it’s sweet, the Vigan & Laoag is more garlicky, the Cabanatuan on the salty side and Lucban has more fat.
Whenever Filipinos eat they usually paired it with condiments, to enhance the flavor of the dish. And vinegar is the best partner for Longganisa. Philippines also boast of different kinds of Vinegar. In Longganisa Sorpresa they offer 5 types of Vinegar in beer bottles with cork (cuteness) namely Tuba (super sour), Pinakurat (Spicy), Paombong (sour), Iloko (right amount of sourness) and the Sinamak.
We also love their House blend Iced Tea. They use lipton tea and muscovado sugar.
