My Take on ......*Toast Box*

Aside from Japanese and Vietnamese, Singaporean cuisine is also one of my favorite.  The super tasty Hainanese Chicken which I will not get tired of eating.  And to my craving of Singaporean food, we visited Toast Box, sister company of Bread Talk which offers Singaporean Breakfast in a modern and relaxing ambiance.

You will notice this butter mountain in every Toast Box branch.  It is a staple in ingredient in their open kitchen.

Kaya Toast Set  Php 130.00
Buttered toast spread with Hainanese Kaya served with soft boiled egg and Nanyang Kopi.

The toast is thick with the right amount of Kaya.  It is eaten with soft boiled egg. I don’t like the taste of egg yolk but this one is an exemption.  I finished the two soft boiled eggs and half a cup of the Nanyang coffee which is very fragrant and full bodied.

Nonya Laksa  Php 215.00
Rice noodles in a coconut based curry soup with fish cakes, tofu puffs and prawns.

Laksa is a spicy noodle soup.  This is curry based and very spicy but very good.  I have low tolerance on spicy foods, but because of hunger I almost finished the bowl. The rice noodles are tender and the taro puff and fish cakes are springy.

Chocolate Toast  Php 60.00 & Milo Dinosaur  Php 105.00
Toast with a thick spread of chocolate

The toast is thick and crisp outside but soft inside.  Right amount of chocolate spread on the bread.  Not too sweet and not too bitter.

Milo drink with Milo powder on top.

Milo overload.  It will bring back your childhood days when you have a sip on this dinosaur drink.  We enjoyed this drink to the last drop and spoon the Milo powder that is left on the glass.  So Milolicious!!!

Over all Experience:
